The exact amount depends on how long you were employed beforehand:
- 6 to under 12 months
- €400
- 12 months or more
- €700
Marginal job (geringfügig)
- 6 to under 12 months

- 12 months or more

Who can get funding?
- You do not have a job at the moment.
- Your last job was in a hotel or restaurant.
- You worked there for at least 6 months in a row.
- Were you with this business for less than 1 year? Then this must be the first time you have become unemployed after working there.
- Did you only have a marginal job (geringfügig)? Then you must be over 50.
- You can apply once you have been unemployed for 3 months.
What you need for your application
- Photo ID (e.g. passport or identity card)
- Insurance data extract (Versicherungsdatenauszug) – a list of your jobs. You can get it free of charge online via meineSV or from the ÖGK.
- Deregistration from the ÖGK or a confirmation from the AMS
